Dear Sir,
I have started trading with instaforex a couple of months ago. I had initially put $ 100 USD in real account to test the platform before investing $ 10000 USD. This inquiry of mine is with reference to the profit orders that have been cancelled by instaforex. I am a new trader by the way and I want to understand instaforex news trading rules 100% so that I decide if instaforex suits my trading style or not. Please help me understand the scenarios given below for news trading specifically: Question 1: Clause 3.14.6: The Customer agrees to undergo a supplementary expert examination of the trading account, if it has been revealed that the trading methods of the Customer include opening and closing/opening lock positions with a less than 5-minute interval between them. In accord to the results of the supplementary examination the Company reserves the right to correct the outcome of the Customer’s trading by the sum total of such orders. >> I would like to know that if during news I place a trade that does not close before 5 minutes, that would 100% respect the clause 3.14.6. You will not cancel my profit in that case, is that right? Please confirm. Question 2: Clause 5.12: When the price change, connected with the a difference between the instrument last price at market close and the instrument first price at market open, or connected with news release, leads to a profit higher than 10% of the initial deposit, the Company reserves the right to use correction of such trade financial result in the size proportionate to the difference of the abovementioned prices in pips, by means of deducting the funds with the comment "Clause 5.12. correction". In certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit). >> By saying " profit higher than 10% of the initial deposit", does this apply for an individual trade that I opened during news spike? I mean to ask that if I open more than one trade (during news spike) and the profit for each individual trade is lesser than 10% of the initial deposit, will all those trades be valid and respecting clause 5.12? Here is an example to elaborate my question further: If I have 1000 dollars in my account. I place 2 trades during news. Now for each trade I get profit of $ 100 USD making it $ 200 USD in total. Taking each trade individually, my profit is not more than 10% of the initial deposit for each trade. So, this means both my trades will be valid as per clause 5.12. Please confirm? Summarizing both scenarios here: If an individual trade during news remains opened for more than 5 minutes and if its profit remains lesser than or equal to 10% of the initial deposit, then both the clauses i.e: 3.14.6 and 5.12 are validated. I have not violated any terms of instaforex in this case. Corrections should not be made to my account in this case and I can trade news. Please confirm so that I choose my direction moving forward with instaforex. I aiwait your detailed clarification at your earliest convenience. Kind regards, Farhan Shah |

Hi Kovactrader,
Thanks for your replies, I have read all the messages from your thread. I would like to discuss with you my scenario as well as yours if you are willing to do so. You may add me on Skype, my id is: hanz09. 1-- In regards to the "initial" deposit, that confuses me a lot. Lets say I deposit $ 100 USD as initial amount. I then gain profit and make it $ 300 USD, technically the 10% should be that of $ 300 USD and not $ 100 USD. 2--If I deposited $ 100 USD, then down the road I deposited $ 200 USD and then $ 500 USD. Lets ignore the profits/losses, the initial deposit becomes $ 800 USD in this case and the 10% will be that of $ 800 USD. Is that correct? 3-- Instaforex used the term "stopped out". I did not get that. At what level will the stop out execute? What if it executes at $ 100 USD+$ 200 USD, I then add $ 500 USD and now my initial deposit will become $ 500 USD instead of $ 800 USD. Is that correct? 4-- What do you mean by stop out. Complete wiping out of the account balance? What if the $ 300 USD reduces down to $ 100 USD or even $ 50 USD, this still does not mean the initial balance of $ 300 USD got wiped out.It should still add up to $ 500 usd to make the initial balance $ 800 USD! If instaforex can elaborate to us, that will be appreciated. Thanks, Farhan |

For the sake of clarification to every member of instaforex, I would request instaforex to kindly elaborate the "initial deposit" term in crystal clear manner:
"Clause 5.12: When the price change, connected with a difference between the instrument last price at market close and the instrument first price at market open, or connected with news release, leads to a profit higher than 10% of the initial deposit, the Company reserves the right to use correction of such trade financial result in the size proportionate to the difference of the abovementioned prices in pips, by means of deducting the funds with the comment "Clause 5.12. correction". In certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit)." Awaiting support's response. Thanks, Farhan |

If you deposit 100$ and make 300$ profit 10% is still calculated from 100$ and not from 400$. It is ALWAYS calculated from what you deposit (100$ in this case). 2. Yes correct. 3. Yes correct. I don't know at what level it execute, but it has something with free margin I think. 4. If you get stopped out because of not enough money on your account it is not important how much do you still have in your account balance. All previous deposits are canceled and only deposit you make in future is for calculation of 10%. |

Thanks for the clarifications. My question from instaforex is:
You guys claim that you allow news trading but with limitations. The limitations being "5 minute" and "10%" rules. If these criteria are met, news trading should not at all be discouraged! I have not received even a single response from anti fraud department and I have not received even a single reply on this platform This thing is making me quit TODAY instead of tomorrow and I bet the same goes for many others! So please respond with a clear cut answer that should not let anyone hanging here and there! Thanks! Farhan |

Kind regards, Farhan Shah Dear Sir, We are sorry it took us so long to reply your inquiries. The thing is the representatives on forums are only PR Assistants and are not specialists in orders execution. To give you a proper reply, first we should consult with our colleagues from the Dealing Dept., and it takes time, because they are busy with their duties. As you know, the number of clients in our company is more than a million. So, if you have some specialized questions regarding the Public Offer Agreement, the best way is to send them directly to dealer@instaforex.com. You will get a much faster reply than on the forum, because the forums are for discussions, not for support with urgent cases. We also have a Live Chat on our main site, and if you need to get a reply immediately, you can use it to reach us. |

Thanks Yvonne,
I have emailed to all the available addresses, no reply for days. Below is the only chat chunk i have with me. Can you please validate is: ----------------- Help online 19:53Alexander Sorokin Hello, how may I help you? 19:54You Hi I have a few questions please i will appreciate if you can answer my question is that I am a news trader Does instafore allow news trading? ? 19:56Alexander Sorokin This is possible. take in accordance this point of pulic offer agreement: When the price change, connected with the a difference between the instrument last price at market close and the instrument first price at market open, or connected with news release, leads to a profit higher than 10% of the initial deposit, the Company reserves the right to use correction of such trade financial result in the size proportionate to the difference of the abovementioned prices in pips, by means of deducting the funds with the comment "Clause 5.12. correction". In certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit). 19:56You Alright so this is clause 5.12 Now question 2 How about closing the trades in less than 5 minutes? does it apply to trades during news releases as well or is it the policy for all the trades... news as well as non news ones? 19:58Alexander Sorokin There is point 3.14.6: The Customer agrees to undergo a supplementary expert examination of the trading account, if it has been revealed that the trading methods of the Customer include opening and closing/opening lock positions with a less than 5-minute interval between them. In accord to the results of the supplementary examination the Company reserves the right to correct the outcome of the Customer’s trading by the sum total of such orders. 19:59You Alright so these two terms are for individual trades or all the trades collectively this means if I open three trades during news all 3 are opened for more than 5 minutes and each of the three trades have profit less than the initial deposit this means all three of my trades will be valid is that correct? each of the 3 trades have profit less than 10% of the initial deposit I mean** 20:02Alexander Sorokin Means profit at this period. Doesn't matter if profit from one or more deals. Means total profit in conditions described at point 5.12. 20:03You Ok. So this means the profit from all the 3 trades should be less than 10% of the initial amount then right? 20:03Alexander Sorokin Yes. 20:04You Alright but if they are different currency pairs and not same.. shouldnt they be treated as seperate? and still valid? 20:05Alexander Sorokin Doesn't matter. This point is about profit. 20:05You Alright. Fair enough So just to recap for my better understanding: The trade during news time should last for more rthan 5 minutes.. and no matter how many trades there are.. the total profit should be less than 10% of initial deposit Correct? meeting this condition will validate my trades during news. Correct? Alright, last question about initial deposit what is initial deposit.. i deposit 1000 $. i make profit of $ 500 and it is now 1500 USD will the initial deposit be still 1000 usd? 20:11Alexander Sorokin For the exact clarification please contact Dealing Department - dealser@instaforex.com 20:11You ok. Do you mean for this question only or for all the questions i asked? 20:12Alexander Sorokin You can ask all question about points of public offer agreement there. 20:13You Ok. Well, I have emailed them already but no reply for days instaforex support forum asked me to contact you here 20:14Alexander Sorokin Wait a minute please. 20:14You Sure 20:20Alexander Sorokin Means total deposit at account. Take in accordance that in certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit). So, 10% is not the main criterion. 1000 USD in your example. 20:20You alright but if i deposit 1000 usd then i deposit 200 and then 100 so my total deposit is 1300 so now it will be 10% of this amount? or the first amount or the last amount? 20:22Alexander Sorokin 1300 USD I suppose. 20:23You ok. but as i have gathered.. it is the initial amount from the last stop out this is what i want to confirm 20:24Alexander Sorokin Yes. Initial deposit from the last stop out. 20:24You Ok. 20:20Alexander Sorokin Means total deposit at account. Take in accordance that in certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit). So, 10% is not the main criterion. this criteria applies only when the trades made profit of more than 10% at a news time.. but i am asking the opposite if i have 1000 usd i make $ 100 usd out of it from news trade as long as it is lesser than 100 usd, its a valid trade and 5.12 does not apply 20:26Alexander Sorokin In some cases it can be less than 10%. So, this point can be applied if your profit will be less than 100 USD in this example. 20:27You you mean to say that if i have 1000 usd and i make $ 100 usd or lesser this can still be adjusted even i did not cross above 10%? Clause 5.12: When the price change, connected with the a difference between the instrument last price at market close and the instrument first price at market open, or connected with news release, leads to a profit higher than 10% of the initial deposit, the Company reserves the right to use correction of such trade financial result in the size proportionate to the difference of the abovementioned prices in pips, by means of deducting the funds with the comment "Clause 5.12. correction". In certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit). How can we get to know it is 10% at a given time or even lesser? 20:29Alexander Sorokin What do you mean? 20:29You As per the 5.12 clause leads to a profit higher than 10% of the initial deposit, the Company reserves the right to use correction of such trade financial result in the size proportionate to the difference of the abovementioned prices in pips, by means of deducting the funds with the comment "Clause 5.12. correction" So if i have to place a trade.. i have to consider 10% in my mind and make sure that my trade does not exceed 10% but now you say that it can be less than 10% as well how can i know what insta decides? Does this simply means we are discouraged to trade news? 20:33Alexander Demkin Dealing department will inform you by e-mail if such conditions completed on your trading account and you will see note about it on the history of your trading account. 20:34You Hmm I see. In certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit). can you please share what are certain cases for example? will it happen all the time of the less than 10% condition will apply only rarely? i need to know so either i thank insta and move on.. or i deposit another 1000 and trade on. 20:36Alexander Demkin If conditions of point 5.12 is not completed on account, this posit will not be apply to trading account. For examply, depsit is 1000 USD, and doe news you got pofit in amount 120 USD, in this case conditions of point 5.12 is completed and dealing department can apply thi point to trading account. 20:38You right. makes sense but if i make $ 80 or $ 90 usd instead of $ 120 5.12 is not completed? 20:40Alexander Demkin If you did not get 10% profit or more due new, point 5.12 will no be apply to your trading account. 20:40You Alright, that is fine then So just to recap: If i place a trade that is more than 5 minutes and the profit is less than 10% of initial deposit I am safe from both 5.12 and 3.16 Correct? 20:41Alexander Demkin Yes, all is correct. 20:41You Ok great but if it is $ 120 in my example.. insta can adjust it to 10% or any percente below 10 so it can be adjusted to 100 or anything beween $ 10 usd to $ 100 usd correct? 20:44Alexander Demkin If amount of profit more than 10% from initial amout of deposit, result of the deal will be cancelled fully. 20:45You Hmm. Ok Well, thanks for your time |

Hi again,
I just received this message from anti fraud department. It is pretty ambiguous still and i did not get what i wanted to ask still. Dear Sir/Madam, The clause 3.14.6 can be applied to the orders with a less than 5-minute interval between opening and closing (opening of the hedged order). Please, pay attention that in accordance with the clause 5.12 in certain cases it is at the Company’s discretion to set the minimal profit change below a 10% level (of the initial deposit). It may be the case when result of multiple orders was affected by news release. Sincerely yours, AntiFraud Department InstaForex Сompanies Group http://instaforex.com |

But if the account was stopped out, only the sum of money deposited after the last stop out is counted, because all the previous funds were already lost. QUOTE What do you mean by stop out. Complete wiping out of the account balance? What if the $ 300 USD reduces down to $ 100 USD or even $ 50 USD, this still does not mean the initial balance of $ 300 USD got wiped out. It should still add up to $ 500 usd to make the initial balance $ 800 USD! Stop out is a forced order to close a position at 10% Margin Level. Yes, in many cases that would mean "wiping out of the account balance", like you said. The balance would be very low to be counted. |

Hi Yvonne,
I would just like to thank you for the clarification. I have had another issue started and that being that the remaining amount in my account (after instaforex deductions applied based on 3.14.6) got locked. I had emailed antifraud department twice and was waiting for them anxiously. I received an email a while ago and they said: "Your account is active. You can apply for withdrawal via the same method as for deposit." So all seems good for now . Thanks, Farhan |
